Adobe listens? Yes they do!

I’m slowly transitioning from FCP 7 to Premiere. At the moment, I’d say about 70% of the work I do is in Adobe Premiere with most of the FCP 7 work being legacy projects. And, overall, I really like Premiere quite a bit. But that doesn’t mean I don’t sometimes encounter things that I wish were better. In the year or so since I started using Premiere for most new projects, I’ve probably filed something like 20-30 feature requests at Adobe.

Today, about a week after filing a request, I got an email from an experience designer at Adobe saying that the feature was actually already in Premiere. Why did I miss that it was already in Premiere? Well, we can chalk that up to Adobe’s sprawling and confusing help system, but that’s not the point. The point is, the feature request actually made it through, got forwarded to the appropriate department, and was read by someone who could actually do something about it, who then took the time to email me back. The response was much appreciated. Good job, Adobe!
